It is confirmed that Eid-Ul-Adha will be on Friday, 27 November 2009 Insha Allah.

Eid-Ul-Adha Prayers
USMAA together with the Monash University Mosque will be conducting Eid-Ul-Adha prayers. 

Eid breakfast
Following Eid prayers we would like all USMAA members to join together to start of the day’s celebration by partaking in a delicious spread of traditional Sri Lankan breakfast dishes to remind you of home!

 
The breakfast will be a voluntary contributed event. If you wish you could contribute by bringing in one of the following items or you could make a monetary contribution towards the cost of the event.

Ramadan Mubarak to All of you and May Allah (Sub) give us long life and
good health to witness and partake in this holy month.

The board of Imams have announced today that the 1st Day of Ramadan will
commence on Saturday 22nd unless people sight the moon tonight. If
there is any change we will inform you accordingly. ( the rationale is
that today is the 29th day of Rajab and if the moon is not sighted, the
Holy Prophet (SAL) instructions are that we complete the 30 days of
Rajab and then fast).

Please check with your local mosques for times of Isha and Tharaweeh

Mrs Haleema Buhary, wife of the late Al Haj M. K. M. Buhary of Mawanella, beloved mother of brother Nisthar Buhary, mother in law of Sister Rizni passed away in Sri Lanka on Saturday 11 July 2009 - INNA LILLAHI WA INAA ILLAIHI RAJIUN.   Janaza  took place  in Mawanella on Sunday 12 July 2009.  A recital of prayers took place at a family gathering at brother Nisthar Buhary's residence in Berwick on sunday night.
